The apartment that you arranged for us at the Alamanda, Palm Cove was excellent for two couples and the outlook over the sea front was great. The added bonus for us was that we looked down on the chapel and were entertained by 8 weddings during our 10 days.
We were there during the beginning of August and were treated to 10 days of fine weather with 27-28 degrees.
Palm Cove is an ideal location for a relaxing break. The village is really well planned affording views from low rise apartments across the road to the beach. There are plenty of walks and a good bus service to Cairns. The cafes and services are good.
Our aim was to spend a relaxing time in the sun as respite from the cold NZ winter but we did hire a car to drive to Cape Tribulation and up into the Tablelands. We have been to Palm Cove a number of times so have experienced many of the top 10 destinations.
