Hi Sara, The guys were extremely happy with everything. They loved their accommodation and though it was a bit of a walk into town, being young and fit, it didn’t worry them. They thought the unit was lovely. They did a 4 day scuba course, which they loved and they also went on tour to the Daintree, loved that. The highlights for them all was the Daintree tour, they saw crocodiles AND a cassowary with a chick!! And of course the Scuba course was what they went over for and diving on the reef was something they will remember for a long time. Hi Sara, Yes I am only too pleased to comment on my stay in Port Dougls and especially at Driftwood Mantary. It was my second stay with FNQ in Port Douglas. The first time was excellent, this time even better. Driftwood Mantaray was ideal. Well located at the quiet end of Macrossan St. it was ideal for beach, shops and restaurants. Driftwood Mantaray apartment itself had everything. Loads of room and enough space to accommodate six people if necessary. With only two bedrooms the general all-round space was really excessive. We felt really spoilt. Very well decorated, and well equipped with all utensils for full cooking, should it be required. Our balcony overlooked BOTH swimming pools and ideal for evening relaxation, with a good chardonnay. Although we arrived late in the evening all information we may require was left for us by the management. Two trips were booked for us by FNQ, prior to arrival. . Tonys Tropical Tours was a fantastic day trip to the Daintree river, ( where we DID see several crocs, as promised by our boat skipper "Bruce") Cape tribulation, bloomfield track, & the fabulous Daintree forest. Included in the trip was a good barbecue lunch. Our second trip was to the OUTER barrier vreef. I have done the reef many times, but relatively close in. This was soooooo different. A magical wonderland in every way. A huge pontoon is anchored right in the diving area. All you need is there, from a semi-submersible to bubble topped dive suits, where you can experience all the wonders of this fantastic place, with no experience at all in diving. Also plenty of really helpful staff available for all activities. The included buffet lunch was outstanding. So much choice and plenty for all. These two trips are a must whilst in Port Douglas. I have holidayed in Australia many times in the past 15 years. My Port Douglas stay with FNQ was the best so far. David

We had a lovely (albeit too short) holiday in Cairns. The weather was beautiful and the activities we did were well organised (Green Island half day cruise on the Big Green cat, Reef trip with Ocean Spirit). Our lovely apartment was a perfect base to start everything from and close to restaurants for evening meals. It was a lovely respite from the cold winter we normally have! Transport to and from the apartment was easy to organise (for the airport and a day trip we went on). The apartment was light and spacious and had everything we needed and more! The accommodation was perfect with location, quality of accom and price - we were able to walk in a few minutes to markets, shops and restaurants, bars in the centre of town, the yacht club, marina village - which is really good & popular - lovely place to walk or ride your bike around - plenty to see and do - we are already planning the next visit. I was extremely impressed by the quality of the service and hospitality. The rooms provided at the Getaways on Grafton Cairns that very homely atmosphere and by the comfortable feeling we enjoyed, I consider that I certainly got my money's worth. Hi Megan Just a quick email to let you know that despite the wet wet wet season weather of last week, we had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable holiday in Cairns……..we thank you sincerely for your expertise and assistance in planning our holiday, even though things didn’t always go to plan due to the weather! Our accommodation at Southern Cross was adequate for our needs and the assistance received from all their staff was faultless……….our room was absolutely spotless and we were also given a surprise linen change mid week. Our tours were fantastic despite the weather…..we have sent a note of thanks to Horizon Tours also………..the only disappointment I had was not achieving my long time dream of travelling the Kurunda Rail.
