A crushed stone path leads you through ancient rainforest species that includes representatives of thirteen of the nineteen primitive flowering plant families found worldwide. Rainforest streams with bridged viewing platforms complete the peaceful ambience and provide a stable trail of learning, enjoyment and shade.
How to get
Walk: Wheelchair and pram accessible and gentle enough for people who have difficulty walking. The walk through the ancient forest takes a very pleasant meandering ten minutes but the impact will last a life time.
Cost: FREE. Gondwanan is attached to the Botanic Garden, which also offers free entry.
Snacks/drinks: There is a kiosk and restaurant in the Botanic Garden. The grounds are suitable for a picnic and there is also open space where children can play.
