Title : Do you Like the Idea of Fishing in Cairns

Do you Like the Idea of Fishing in Cairns?

Fishing in Cairns

It probably hasn’t escaped your attention that Cairns sits on the sea and that might
have caught the interest of those of you that like some quality fishing.

At FNQ apartments we have an in-depth knowledge of local fishing opportunities and can help you find some truly great sport.

For example, from roughly the middle of September through to the middle of December you can try some giant Black Marlin charter fishing in areas such as around Lizard Island.  Many people would argue that this is one of the best Black Marlin fishing grounds in the world and if you like your game fishing then you’ll love this.

You won’t be stuck for things to fish for at other times of the year either.  For example, as the Black Marlin period dies down, you can go for Blue Marlin through to April.

All around the rest of the year you can tackle juvenile Black Marlin, Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Sailfish.

Many people say that chartering a boat and spending the day fishing is one of the best experiences to be undertaken in and around Cairns.  Of course, that depends on your interests but we have helped many holidaymakers find appropriate skippers and to try their skills against some of the most exciting fish in the sea.

Don’t worry about rods and tackle either.  Most charters will provide that for you and
even if they don’t, we know a lot of places on shore that will be able to help.  Of
course, you are welcome to bring your own rods and tackle if you would prefer to use them.

So, don’t spend any more time just reading about those blue seas around Cairns and Far North Queensland. Instead, get up here to experience them for yourself in reality!
